Business Development
Manager (BDM®)
The
daily practice of business development is guided by the Business
Development Manager (BDM)
who provides direction, discipline and skills needed in the BDC.
This management position supplies the dealership with a new avenue
for developing future leadership.
The roles of tracking, training, coaching and demonstrating define
the position of the BDM
and prepare him or her for future management positions. As an ally,
the BDM
ensures each sales consultant is successfully scheduling appointments
and developing owner loyalty through proper training and coaching.
Traver Technologies can assist the dealership in selecting and training
a BDM
and provide compensation plans that fit within the dealership's
expense structure. The initial BDM
training consists of learning the principles of the BDS
process, telephone skills, and software training at Traver Technologies'
corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas.
In addition to the initial BDM
training, Traver Technologies provides a series of ongoing courses
specifically designed to further develop the skills of the BDM.
These training events, held at Traver Technologies' BD College,
are offered at various times throughout the year and are available
to all Traver Technologies clients.
