Choosing a training partner for your business is one of the biggest decisions a dealership makes. A training vendor trains and consults within your business, and also provides direction, influences culture, and typically impacts a dealer’s business in both variable and fixed operations.

Our retail training team consists of four roles. Each role is crucial in your development and success. Our average trainer has over 18 year’s automotive retail experience, and over 80% have been sales managers or executive level management. Each dealership is assigned a Regional Manager (RM), Senior Account Executive (SAE), Retail Training Instructors (RTI), and each account is assigned to one of our Senior Vice Presidents.

Both the RM and SAE roles have vested interest in your goals being realized. Both roles have elements of their compensation based on your store growing and succeeding. This creates ownership of your goals. The RM is responsible for the relationship. The RMs are empowered to take care of your every need. The SAE and RM, working in concert, share the responsibilities with your management team. You can view the RM and SAE maps.

The SAE is your key contact and your primary consultant in the relationship. They establish and maintain your annual growth plan (DOP®). Based on key metrics you provide, they are tasked to continually help you identify growth opportunities and then utilize Traver RTIs to deliver on critical skills needed to achieve results. The SAE manages what skills are delivered, by who, and when at your dealership. The average SAE has over 22 years automotive experience and 90% have been BD Directors, BDMs, and other sales management roles.

The RTIs certify annually and must be certified to teach a specific curriculum at your dealership. Not all RTIs certify in all of our courses. Rather, each RTI is allowed to certify in areas where they have passion. This approach provides you with the greatest talent and energy in helping teach and grow your people. All RTIs are certified on our core BD curricula, and must score on our “event impact” results to maintain their certification. All in-dealership training events performed by our RTI team are protected by our 5-Star Impact Guarantee.
